Psychoanalysis & Psychodynamic Therapy
I am Svetoslav Savov, PhD, a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst. I offer a confidential space for adults who want to understand emotional difficulties, repetitive patterns, and relationship challenges — and work toward lasting change.
WHO DO I WORK WITH?
People come to therapy for many reasons — sometimes because something hurts, sometimes because life looks “fine” on the outside but feels heavy, stuck, or confusing inside. I often work with:

Anxiety and persistent worry
Anxiety often has a “surface” story (stress, pressure, uncertainty) and a deeper emotional logic underneath. Therapy can help you understand what fuels the worry and develop a steadier inner sense of safety.
Low mood, depression, loss of motivation
When mood drops, life can feel empty, heavy, or disconnected — even when things look “fine” from the outside. Psychodynamic work explores the emotional losses, conflicts, and self-criticisms that can keep low mood in place.
Relationship difficulties and recurring conflict
Many relationship problems repeat in similar patterns — with partners, family, or colleagues. Therapy helps you notice the patterns, understand their origins, and make space for different choices and more satisfying connection.
Trauma and its emotional impact
After traumatic experiences, the nervous system and emotions may stay on alert long after the event has passed. Therapy offers a safe place to process what happened, reduce overwhelm, and restore trust in yourself and relationships.
Grief and life transitions
Grief is not only about loss — it can also appear during change, endings, and major transitions. Therapy supports you in making sense of what is being left behind and finding a grounded way forward.
Burnout and chronic stress
Burnout often builds slowly, especially when responsibility and inner pressure become constant. Therapy can help you understand what drives the overextension, set healthier boundaries, and reconnect with energy and meaning.
Parenting difficulties
Parenting can bring love and purpose — and also worry, guilt, conflict, or exhaustion. Therapy supports you in understanding your emotional responses and finding a calmer, more confident way of relating to your child and yourself.
